Bank of India Investment Managers Private Limited (Formerly BOI Star Investment Managers Private Limited) (Formerly BOI AXA Investment Managers Private Limited) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of India.

Bank of India Investment Managers Pvt. Ltd. has continuously proved to be trustworthy with 15 years of rich experience in fund management and has always catered to the needs of the investors across various objectives, thus leading to a portfolio of 18 varied Mutual Fund Schemes with 3.7 lakhs+ investors and ₹ 7562.65 crores of assets under management (as on April 30, 2024) and 12 branches across PAN India as on April 30, 2024.

Bank of India

Bank of India was founded on 7th September, 1906 by a group of eminent businessmen from Mumbai. The Bank was under private ownership and control till July 1969 when it was nationalised along with 13 other banks.

Beginning with one office in Mumbai, with a paid-up capital of Rs.50 lakh and 50 employees, the Bank has made a rapid growth over the years and blossomed into a mighty institution with a strong national presence and sizable international operations. In business volume, the Bank occupies a premier position among the nationalized banks.

The Bank has over 5100 branches in India spread over all states/ union territories including specialized branches. These branches are controlled through 68 Zonal Offices and 12 NBG Offices. There are 44 branches/ offices and 4 Subsidiaries and 1 joint venture abroad.

The Bank came out with its maiden public issue in 1997 and follow on Qualified Institutions Placement in February 2008 and in August 2021.

While firmly adhering to a policy of prudence and caution, the Bank has been in the forefront of introducing various innovative services and systems. Business has been conducted with the successful blend of traditional values and ethics and the most modern infrastructure. The Bank has been the first among the nationalised banks to establish a fully computerised branch and ATM facility at the Mahalaxmi Branch at Mumbai way back in 1989. The Bank is also a Founder Member of SWIFT in India. It pioneered the introduction of the Health Code System in 1982, for evaluating/ rating its credit portfolio.

Presently, the Bank has overseas presence in 18 foreign countries spread over 5 continents – with 44 offices including 4 Subsidiaries, 1 Representative Offices and 1 Joint Venture, at key banking and financial centres viz., Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, London, Paris and New York and DIFC Dubai.

 
Shri Subrat Kumar

Shri Subrat Kumar has been appointed as Executive Director of Bank of India and assumed charge on 21.11.2022. Shri Kumar is a B.Sc., MBA and CAIIB qualified Banker. He has over 30 years of experience in Financial Sector / Corporate Credit.

During his long stint in the Banking Industry, he gained varied exposures in all important spheres of operational and strategic Banking with expertise in Treasury, Risk Management and Corporate Credit. He successfully handled the responsibilities such as Regional Head, Head of Treasury, Audit & Inspection and Corporate Credit. He held the position of Chief Risk Officer and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Bank of Baroda as well.

He was on the Boards of FIMMDA and BoB Capital Markets Ltd. Currently, he is also a member on the Boards of M/s. PSB Alliance Pvt Ltd.; Bank of India Shareholding Ltd. and lndo- Zambia Bank Ltd.

As an Executive Director, he is currently handling the following portfolios in Bank of India viz. — Corporate Credit, International Treasury, Foreign Business, Domestic and Foreign Subsidiaries, Government Business, Credit Monitoring, Premises & Estate, Resources & Customer Excellence Branch Banking.

Mr. Parveen Kumar Gupta

Mr. Parveen Kumar Gupta led Retail Banking and Risk Management functions in State Bank of India, the largest commercial bank in India, having a balance sheet of more than USD 525 bn and ranked amongst the top 55 banks globally. During a career of over 37 years, Mr. Gupta dealt with all aspects of banking including retail, risk, compliance, treasury, international banking, investment banking, private equity etc. He was a part of the top management team of the Bank and a member of Board/Key Investment Committees for more than 4 years. He had also worked as CEO of Investment banking arm and as Deputy CEO of Infra fund set up by the Bank in partnership with Macquarie and IFC, World Bank Group. Mr. Gupta managed the Balance Sheet of the Bank as CFO, had two international postings and also headed Treasury of the Bank. At present Mr. Gupta is the Chairman (Non-Executive Part Time) of Utkarsh Small Finance Bank Limited and is also on the Boards of some companies.

Mr. Ganesan Rajamani

Mr. Ganesan Rajamani was associated with Bank of India (BOI) for more than 39 years. He has over 15 years of experience in Treasury and has also worked in Tokyo for 4 years as Head-Treasury. He has held several distinguished positions during his career with BOI and has effectively discharged his responsibilities in various facets of Treasury Function - Forex, Equity, Derivatives and Fixed Income segments. During his tenure with Bank of India, he held directorships of 6 associate companies of BOI. He was an advisor at Vijaya Bank and Bank of Baroda, during the Financial Year 2018-19 and at Canara Bank during the Financial Year 2019-20.

Mr. Sharda Bhushan Rai

Mr. Sharda Bhushan Rai has been associated with Bank of India since 1990 in various positions. He has over 35 years of experience in branch banking, credit administration & recovery. He has worked as Zonal Manager & Field General Manager and carries with him 6 years of overseas experience. Presently, he is heading- Resources, Marketing, Publicity, TPP, CEBB, and wealth management verticals of Bank of India.

Ms. Gita Narasimhan

Gita Narasimhan has worked with State Bank of India from December 1976 till September 2015 in various positions in branch banking, bank marketing, corporate and mid corporate credit, training. She retired as General Manager from SBI where she was incharge of vertical in SBI which was marketing third party products (Mutual Funds, Life and General Insurance products, demat account etc.)

In her previous stint, she was associated with IDBI AMC as an Independent Director from July 29, 2021 till February 26, 2024.

Mr. Ashok K Pathak

Mr. Ashok Kumar Pathak started his career with Bank of India in May, 1992 and over a span of 28 years has held several distinguished positions during his career with Bank of India. In various capacities, he has effectively discharged his responsibilities as Branch Head, Zonal Head, NBG Head. Mr. Pathak has worked as Credit Head at BOI Nairobi from 2001-2008. Mr. Pathak believes in hard work and has always set high standards of commitment in each of his endeavors. He holds M.Sc. (Chemistry) from Gorakhpur University. Before joining Bank of India he has worked as Junior Research Fellow (CSIR) Applied Science Department of Institute of Engineering & Technology, Lucknow.

Mr. Ram Krishna Sinha

Mr. Sinha joined Bank of India as a Direct Recruit Officer on completing his post-graduation in Physics with distinction. He served the Bank for over three decades, across key verticals of retail, credit, international, BPR, and Learning & Development. He also worked through different key roles in Nairobi, Kenya, in his foreign stint, and as In-charge Communications, working closely with McKinsey & Co., as part of the reorganizational change management initiative of his Bank. As General Manager- Learning & Development, and Business Process Re-engineering, in the Bank’s Corporate Office, he brought about novel changes in the arena of learning, training and business processes.

Mr. Sinha has authored a motivational book “X-Factor @ Workplace” published by Tata McGraw Hill, and is invested in management education/programs and competency mapping as a visiting faculty to management institutes, and as an Expert in Interview Committees in leading banks and financial institutions. He is also a Principal Advisor/Consultant, on Banking and Education, to National Productivity Council.

He writes extensively in newspapers and digital media of repute on the contemporary issues of Banking, HR, Strategic Planning and Corporate Leadership. He is an Opinion Columnist for the CEOWORLD magazine.

Mr. Manas Ranjan Biswal

Shri Biswal is a seasoned banker with 37 years of rich experience in various administrative and functional capacities at branches, regional office, zonal office and corporate offices of public sector banks. He also worked as CEO of PNB's Dubai Branch and Middle East operations. He started his career as a Management Trainee with Punjab National Bank and rose to the level of General Manager of the bank. On his elevation, he joined as Executive Director of Union Bank of India and superannuated after serving there for more than 3 years.

He has served as a whole time director in the board of Union Bank of India and as a Nominee Director in the Board of UBIUK Ltd, London, SWIFT India Ltd., ACRE Ltd. (Asset Care and Reconstruction Enterprise) and as a Board of Trustee in SASF (Stressed Asset Stabilisation Fund) of Govt of India.

Mr. Arvind Kumar Jain

Mr. Arvind Kumar Jain served as an Executive Director of Punjab & Sind Bank till January 2017. Prior to this, he served as Chief General Manager at the Oriental Bank of Commerce. He holds a strong professional banking experience of over 38 years in Treasury, Corporate Credit, International Banking, Equity and Debt Capital Raising, Compliance, and Risk Management.

Currently, Director on the Board of Financial Institution, NBFCs, Insurance, Venture Capital & investment services companies besides Member of Review Rating Committee of a leading Rating Agency and Trustee member of Pension Trust Fund of a Government Organization. He also has Board experience of around five years in an Asset Management Company.

Mr. Vikas Gupta
Chief Risk Officer

Vikas is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and Certified Information System Auditor (CISA, USA) with over 20 years of experience in Risk Management Reviews, Risk Based Internal and Concurrent Audits, Enterprise-wide Risk Management, Internal Financial and Operational Controls and Limits Monitoring. His last stint was with Haribhakti & Co., Chartered Accountants, for above 17 years as Partner handling Mutual Fund and Insurance Sector. Vikas key achievement is Successful implementation of risk control framework in BFSI Sector and Contributed as a Speaker on Internal Financial Controls (IFC) at Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) .

Fund Managers

Mr. Nitin Gosar

Nitin holds a Bachelor's degree in Management Studies from Ramniranjan Jhunjhunwala College (2004) and a Master's degree in Finance from The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) (2010). With 20 years of overall experience, in Equity Research and Fund Management, Nitin has been a valuable member of Bank of India Investment Managers Private Limited for over two years. Throughout his career, he has also worked with prominent organizations such as Invesco Mutual Fund, IFCI Financial Services, B&K Securities, SKP Securities Ltd., and NDA Securities Ltd.

Mr. Mithraem Bharucha

Mithraem Bharucha joined Bank of India Investment Managers in August 2021 and has more than 14 years of experience in the fixed income markets- trading and portfolio management. Prior to Bank of India Investment Managers, he was associated with organizations such as YES Mutual Fund and BNP Paribas Mutual fund. His qualifications include Bachelor's degree in Management Studies from Mumbai University and Master’s in Business Administration with specialization in Finance.

Mr. Nilesh Jethani

Nilesh Jethani joined Bank of India Investment Managers in November 2021 and has more than 9 years of experience in equity research across the BFSI, IT, and capital goods sectors. In his last assignment, Nilesh was working with Envision Capital Services Pvt. Ltd. as an Investment Analyst. He was also associated with HDFC Securities, HDFC Bank, and ASK Investment Managers as an equity research analyst. He graduated with a Bachelor of Financial Markets from HR College (2012) and further pursued his Postgraduate Program in Global Financial Markets from BSE Institute Ltd. (2015).
